Option premium ledger by Australian tax year, from your IBKR statement
Drop in an Interactive Brokers Flex Query or Activity CSV. The tool adds up the option premiums you received and the cost of closing trades, grouped by Australian tax year (1 July to 30 June). Nothing leaves your browser.
General information only. This is a record-keeping tool that adds up the premiums and closes in your own broker statement. It is not tax advice and not a tax agent service, and it is not affiliated with the ATO or any broker. It applies no tax treatment. Check your return with a registered tax agent.

By tax year and currency
Amounts are in the currency on your statement; no exchange rates are applied. Premium received = proceeds of opening sales. Close cost = what you paid to buy back. Expired, assigned and exercised are counted, not valued. Rows that are not options are skipped.

Want the full-year, multi-year version with an accountant-ready PDF? It is being planned at about A$59 a year, GST included. The price is not final and nothing is on sale yet.

Official ATO pages could not be opened when this page was built (they returned an access error), so this tool deliberately states no tax treatment. For how options are taxed, start at ato.gov.au capital gains tax and ask a registered tax agent.
